If you have an Android phone, you’ve seen all the access apps want to our phones from control of our hardware to access to our contact list. It begins to wonder how much information about you and your phone is sitting on a server somewhere.
SecureState told me iPhone apps don’t ask for the permissions because iPhone allows limited access to system areas and doesn’t allow reading or writing to other applications. The default permissions are pre-defined so you are not prompted.
If you don’t like all the access the app wants, you can’t download it. It’s all or nothing, so what’s the risk and what do these permissions really mean?
Yes your right, Android apps seem to ask for a lot of permissions, whereas, my iPhone app’s can only access a limited number of things. If you want a more secure phone I would definitely go with iPhone. For one, iPhone can not get viruses and malware, while Android can. But the story for iPhone isn’t all that good. Check out this article I wrote about the dark side of the iPhone app’s. People pirating app’s. Hope you find my post as interesting as I found yours! Great article.
