I recently posted about my frustration with the high cost of greeting cards when I went to pick up Mother’s Day cards. Another big holiday is around the corner, but this Valentine’s Day there is a way to sweeten the deal.

Thanks to ConsumerQueen for this money saving offer or shall I say money earning offer at CVS. Printable coupon sites have a $2 coupon on their site for American Greeting cards. You have to buy three cards. If you pick 99-cent cards, you’d pay about $.97. However, coupon sites say this purchase will qualify you for $3 in ExtraCare bucks so really you’ll make $2.03 on the deal.

While you won’t be handed $2 cash, you can turn around and spend those ExtraCare bucks on something else you need.

Even if you don’t like the 99-cent cards, because let’s face it they’re not always the best, you can still save a lot on those other expensive cards with basically $5 in coupon savings.
